Note of 06-05-06: One of our kind readers stayed here over New Year's Eve and offered the following comments about the experience:

"...my husband and I stayed at the Ocean Blue Motel-a smallish, recently renovated, nestled in cozy/quiet Vilano Beach, just 5 minutes from downtown historic St. Augustine. We stayed on the second floor in a kitchenette room-suitable for two couples or a family of 4, with a private OCEAN-FRONT balcony. Though the property is a bit older, it is being updated and our room was freshly painted and tiled. The service was impeccable and the staff always friendly. Not realizing that the motel was pet friendly, we were told they would welcome our 2-year-old blue dobe Lucille, on our next visit-for a very small fee. If you don’t look closely, you may end up across the street at a neighboring motel of the same name that isn’t quite ocean front. We had a beautiful view and a private pathway to the beach. We plan to return soon to the Ocean Blue Motel with Lucille, and highly recommend it to other pet owners."

Note of 08-15-05: One of our readers stayed here recently and said she found the motel wonderful, the staff very friendly and the pet-friendly beach beautiful. She said the original Ocean Blue Motel close by is also pet-friendly, but more expensive since it has oceanfront rooms.
