Let's Get Away From it All At Secluded Sunsets
By Patricia Collier
Tired of the rat race? Angry commuters stressing you out? Too many chores and too little time? If the loudest thing you'd like to hear for a few days is the wind ruffling through the trees or your golden lab splashing into a pure, clean lake, we've got just what the doctor ordered.
It's not a pill, not an ointment. It's Secluded Sunsets and it's waiting for you -- and your companion animal!
Secluded Sunsets is a quiet space, right in the heart of Central Florida. It's got a white, sandy, private beach with 100 feet of waterfront and guests will stay well entertained with a paddle-boat, row boat, snorkeling gear and plenty of lawn and water games.
If you decide you'd like to get away from the peace and quiet and play for a day, you'll only be about 45 minutes from all major Central Florida attractions, including Disney World, MGM Studios, Epcot Center, Universal Studios, Sea World and Bush Gardens.
The main reason this destination is pet-friendly is because the owner, Henry Mark Leininger, is a dog lover. A few days ago, I talked with Leininger and he told me about his three canines, a large hunting dog, a lab/chow mix and a Jack Russell. He said they especially enjoy the paddle boats and jumping off the dock.
Secluded Sunsets has two units, a one bedroom, which sleeps up to four people and two pets, and a two bedroom, which sleeps up to six people and three pets. Both are fully furnished with kitchens,
satellite TV, phones, central heat and air and washer and dryers. The two bedroom unit even has a working fireplace and both unit enjoy enviable views of Pine Island Lake.
The prices will also help ease your spirits. The one bedroom unit runs $77 per night and the two bedroom unit costs $95 per night. There is a $5 per pet fee and each additional adult is $10. Leininger said prices will go up this fall, to $85 for the one bedroom unit and $105 for the two bedroom unit. Still a bargain at today's prices.
You'll want to spend some time browsing the other photographs on Secluded
Sunsets. I guarantee they will leave you inspired -- and ready to find this special place.
Leininger said he's already booked for January and February, but has several openings before then. It's important to book ahead and a 50 percent deposit will be required. He said it's also the perfect location for weddings, reunions or other group day outings.
