Animal Coalition of Tampa
This group's primary focus is high volume spay/neuter programs to reduce the high number of companion animals entering Hillsborough County's shelters. As of 07-21-06, they are offering a new spay/neuter service with their "Neuter Scooter" which picks up pets at various locations, takes them to the coalition's South Tampa clinic at 1719 W Lemon St., performs the spay/neuter surgeries, then returns the pets to the dropoff sites. Pet guardians pay only for the cost of the spaying or neutering.
