Introduction: Greetings from Winter Park. I am Koko, a spiffy chocolate lab and I'm about a year old. I was adopted by my mommy and daddy, Cassandra and Steve Jerzykowski, on April 13, 2004 (their third wedding anniversary) from the Orange County Animal Shelter. Someone had abandoned me - can you believe that? Thankfully, a nice person took me to the animal shelter and they put my picture on their Web site. Well, mommy saw me and fell in love with me and she and daddy went right to the shelter and found me and adopted me on the spot - whew!
I was really skinny when mommy and daddy first met me. My little ribs stuck out and I only weighed 50 pounds. When mommy and daddy took me to the vet a couple of days after they adopted me, the vet said I was in great health, just needed to put on some pounds. Mommy said I could have some of her pounds (hehehehehehe). Anyway, I am up to 67 pounds now and look great, don't you think? I am very shiny and get compliments whenever I go out with my human guardians.
About my life now: Besides my mommy and daddy, I live with my older cat sister, also known as "The Queen of the Universe", and a new baby cat brother, Inky. He is 12 weeks old and just had his "marbles" removed.
I love my mommy and daddy very much...they spoil me rotten and I am going to doggie school every Saturday (mommy says I have to learn manners). I am a good boy and LOVE to ride in the car. Mommy got me a harness that attaches to the seatbelt, and a pair of sunglass goggles that I wear when I ride in mommy's convertible. She puts sunscreen on my nose, too, because she says it is such a cute nose and soooo delicate.
Favorite Things: I love my Nylabone frisbee, my Kong balls, and my squeaky ball. Mommy thinks that I use Inky as a pull toy and carry him around in my mouth. I have other toys, too, and "find" stuff that belongs to mommy or daddy and take them for myself - boy, do I ever get in trouble when I do that! I also like to go to the doggie park for playtime and for learning social skills. I am just a very happy puppy.
Quote from my mom: "Koko is a joy! We have a nice fenced yard for him and it's fun to watch him play with the two Rotts who live behind us."
Reply from Koko:Yes, well, I am their personal trainer, see, and I run them back and forth along the fence. Their mommy is happy because I am helping to get them in shape and have cute bodies like mine....tehehehehe. Hey, I gotta go, it's off to PetSmart where I always get lots of goodies!
My Fan Club info: My mommy got me my very own email address! You can write to me, Koko, the Magnificent, at: koko@cfl.rr.com.
