Dusty, Pyrenees Perfection
"Here I am, playing, 'Lord of the Rings'"

Introduction: Hi, I'm Dusty, a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees. My AKC name is "Little Big Man." We are quite a distinct breed of dog, having gotten our name from the mountain range in southwestern Europe where we were used to guard flocks. In Europe we are called, "Pyrenean Mountain Dogs." We are big and white and beautiful and smart!

I am companion to Pam Croy of Gainesville, Florida. My canine siblings are AnD and Logan, pictured here.

My dislikes include anyone raising their voice in my vacinity. I do not like those green /vegetable flavored treats and I get very annoyed with anything in my yard that I feel should not be there.

I like getting lots of loving, being brushed and sweet talked, obedience "brush-up lessons", play time with Logan and AnD and howling to the song "Happy Trails" when my humans have "wine time" every afternoon at 5:00 p.m.

Personality quirks? Well, I can be rather aloof and self-contained. I won't just run up to a new person. I'll keep my distance at first, while giving a very challenging bark. If the person totally ignores me, it will take about 10 minutes then I'll approach and allow myself to be petted. From then on, that person is my lifelong friend.
