The Dobie Bunch!
"Did someone say, 'Lights, camera, action?'"
Introduction: Hello from Baltimore, Maryland. No, we're not Florida residents - yet. Our human guardian, Gale Pradhan, will soon be moving to the sunshine state, though, so we're practicing our "professional sun dawgs" pose. We are what the lady here at FloridaPets.net keeps referring to as "The Dobie Bunch." The big red male on the left is Zak. The black female on the right is Zoey. The two ladies in the center are sisters from the first mating of Zak and Zoey. They are Emma and Sara. The male puppy on the right is from Zak and Zoey's second litter and his name is Jake.
We're not just any ordinary dobermans. We're "Scudamore Dobermans," known for our wonderful temperament and big heads and bones. Some humans may not know this, but the doberman was developed in the 1870's by a German tax collector. He mixed Rottweiler, German Pinscher, Wei Maraner, the English Greyhound and the Manchester Terrier together and his results, we think, is a dog that is powerful, proud, loyal and wise. (We added the "wise" part, sounds good, huh?)
Our Personality: Many people think dobies are mean, but for any breed, it's all in how we're raised. For instance, Zack, weighing 117 pounds, loved people and puppies. When mom Zoey was sick of nursing her babies, he would take over and play with them...letting them crawl all over him and jump off his head. Not mean at all!
"We are Emma & Sara and just like human sisters...we love each other, but fight like crazy!"
Now that we are about 5 years old, things are better, but sometimes we still have to decide which one of us is boss.
Quote from our human mom: "I just love these dogs. I guess you can tell they are very special to me and my family."
