Chico is a border collie mix, around 18 months old.
We adopted him from a shelter in Denver, Colorado last year.
We are fairly new to Florida, having moved here last June. Chico is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever known. We've met many dogs, but Chico's temperament is like none other. He likes to be around people and
loves playing with other dogs. He's very fast and adores being chased.
The first time we met Chico, we took to him right away. He was just so sweet and loving. All he does is look at you with his big eyes; you can tell that he's just thinking happy thoughts about playing and whatnot. And he has so much energy! Especially when people are around, he gets very excited.
But Chico is very obedient. If a child tells him to "'sit," he does it right away. You can see him wagging his tail with fervor.
He tries so hard to be good, but sometimes he just can't contain his energy!
"Here he is, ready to play!"
We already had two dogs, a Dalmation and a blue heeler, but decided we wanted a third. Apache, our blue heeler, is 8 years old and Bezoar, our dalmation, is 7 years old. They all get along great, although the older ones can't keep up with Chico. When they are lying down, Chico likes to come up and paw at them playfully to see if they'll play.
We enjoy going to the dog park regularly...we would go to Chatfield Reservoir in Littleton, Colorado all the time.
Since we moved to Tampa, we've all been exploring the many dog parks here, thanks to your Web site!
