Mommy says I am an encouraging story of rescue and adoption. Earlier this summer she and Jason had just bought a house when a friend of theirs who works at the Polk County Animal Services told them about me. At the time I was only eight-weeks-old and had what they called a "greenstick fracture" in my back leg. Now, here's the sad part of the story,
so get your tissues handy.
My leg got broken because the family I had before had dropped me and then decided they didn't want me anymore because I was "broken". Geesh! Well, as you can see from my photo, I am really cute and my new mommy just couldn't say no, so she and Jason took me home with them! I've made good progress and after some rehabilitation,
I am expected to make what they call "a complete recovery."
Even though the cast has made it a little hard to move around as much as I'd like, I've been keeping up with my lab brother, Boscoe, just fine. And as you can see in this photo, he's a big guy, at 100-pounds! Oh, I am so loving my new life!
