Winter Springs Hound Ground Paw Park Located on about 3 acres within Central Winds Park, 1000 E. State Road 434. The facility offers separate areas for large and small dogs, splash zones, water fountains, dig boxes, dog play structures, dog walkways for dogs and their humans and time-out zones for rowdy pups. Obedience and agility training and fly-ball competitions will be available later. Note: For residents of other cities who would like to know how to start a dog park in their area, it might be helpful to know that this dog park was built with a $75,000 state grant and $25,000 provided by the city of Winter Springs. Efforts were initiated and shepherded by a citizen's advocacy group called "Friends of Leash Optional Parks" detailed at the above web site link.
