Palm Coast1. Washington Oaks Gardens State Park Located at 6400 North Oceanshore Blvd., two miles south of Marineland, off A1A, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Matanzas River. Note of 08-10-05: According to one of our kind readers, part of this park is gardens, but there is also a large picnic area and a nice walking trail by the water where she took her dogs. The park is open daily 8 a.m. to sundown. According to the state, pets are generally welcome in Florida's state parks in designated areas if they are kept on a leash. 2. Dog Park in James Holland F. Holland Memorial Park Located at 18 Florida Park Drive, about 1/2 mile north of Palm Coast Highway on Old Florida Road on the left. Open sun up to sun down. The city has fenced in about 1/4 acre within this park and has designated it just for dogs. There is a water station with a drinking fountain for humans and dogs as well as a hose for filling bowls. NOTE: We can't visit every area on a regular basis, so if you have information about any dog parks or beaches, or any other animal recreation facilities, in the Palm Coast area, please contact FloridaPets.net.
