Niceville

Niceville Dog Park

This area will be closed for the week of the Mullet Festival, which is the third weekend of October.

There is a unsupervised off-leash pet walk area located at the Mullet Festival fairgrounds, just north of Niceville on Florida Hwy. 85. It is open dawn to 10 p.m., at which time lights will shut off automatically. This is a completely fenced-in (double gates), shaded area of about 5-acres with large oak trees. There are plenty of lawn chairs and two picnic tables. (Thanks to the kind reader who wrote us about the tables and chairs.)

Note of 08-14-06: Our kind reader writes to give us an update. He says there are now lights and the park is open until 10 p.m. There has also been an automatic water dispenser added.

Note of 12-12-05: Thanks to a kind reader for alerting us to this dog park and to a City of Niceville representative for providing additional information.

NOTE: We can't visit every area on a regular basis, so if you have information about any dog parks or beaches, or any other animal recreation facilities, in the Niceville or Okaloosa County areas, please contact FloridaPets.net.
