Charlotte Harbor Paw Park Located at the Edgewater Park at 22410 Bayshore Road, in Port Charlotte. Offers two fenced-in areas for dogs to run off leash, one for big dogs, another for little dogs. There is a playground for kids outside the fence, picnic tables, a water hose and water bowl, and public restrooms. She said the people who visit this park seem to take good care of their dogs, i.e., they watch them and have good voice command over them. Note of 08-13-07: A couple of readers have expressed concern recently about larger dogs being allowed to intimidate the smaller dogs and when the guardians try to speak with the people with the large dogs, they are met with similar intimidation.
