Cedar Key Reader Notes: "We [recently] stopped in Cedar Key and the area was extremely pet friendly. In this rural little area, there was a very nice little main beach that even provided pet waste baggies. We had dinner with our dogs right out on the dock at a place called Coconuts. There is also a place, I believe called the Raw Bar, which extends its welcome to its fuzzy guests. You can take your dogs right out onto the fishing dock and get up close to the pelicans. Everyone was very friendly and informative and we had a great time." "There are two areas of beach on Cedar Key that are pet friendly. One is the beach called Sand Spit Beach, opposite the Faraway Inn listed on your Cedar Key vacation page. The other is the main beach in the city park, directly in front of Park Place Condo's, on Dock St. I have seen dogs both on a leash and off. I think the only rules are that you clean up after your pet."
