Apopka Doctors' Dog Park Located on Highland Avenue, between First and Oak Streets, off Hwy 441. This 5-acre dog park opened 07-21-07. Offers water fountains for people and pets, benches, canine shower. The park is split into three sections: one for small dogs under 30 pounds, an all-dog play area and an unused section, which is set aside to be used when one section shows excessive wear. Note of 08-12-07: A kind reader reports the following from a recent visit to this park: "I took my Lab there...and it was great. Nice and spacious, lots of room to run."
